What is the best time of day to schedule a family shoot?

Ideally the best time of day to shoot will always be in the evening to take advantage of the beautiful light known as golden hour! With children's schedules evening may not always be possible, working around when your child is happiest through the day is always best. Just try to avoid between 11am and 2pm as that is when the sun is at it's brightest and hottest!

What should we wear?

I send out a  clothing guide to help upon booking don't worry.  In short be sure to coordinate your outfits by finding a colour palette that you like and find pieces that compliment each other. Be sure to also choose clothes that are stylish yet comfy and feel free to add patterns, layers, and accessories to add more dimension to your images. Try to avoid large logos and white clothes and most importantly if you have young children be sure to grab a change of clothes in case of any accidents! 

Do you direct and pose during sessions?

Please do not worry about what to do with your hands or feeling awkward in front of the camera. I got you! I will always direct you in several different poses while also using little tricks to grab those natural candid portraits! If you have small children, candid is good, getting them moving will lead to fun images.

Do you offer discounts?

I have promotions all throughout the year at various times. Please signup for the newsletter so you are informed when I have specials.  You should also follow me on Instagram or Facebook as I normally announce promotions there as well. 

Do you have clothing for newborns and props?

​Yes, I have some! You do not need to bring anything. For special requests, please let us know ahead of time.

How long are your sessions?

Maternity – one hour

Newborn – 2-4 hours

Family – one hour

Children anywhere from 30-60 minutes depending on session and age

~Please know there is no real “timer” on our sessions, the above is an estimate and sessions may take less or more time.

My baby has acne do you retouch?

Yes basic skin retouching is included. For extra retouching (colour Changes, head swaps, tattoo removable) extra charges may apply.
